Farrington Square, opened in 2002, is Lehigh's premier apartment-style residential complex with 250 beds. The complex features 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom apartments, each fully appointed with a complete kitchen, private bathroom, and furnished living room and dining room areas. Living in Farrington is the closest on-campus experience to living off-campus. Each apartment comes with full air conditioning, in-unit appliances, and the kind of privacy that traditional halls simply cannot offer. The complex is highly popular with juniors and seniors who want apartment-style comfort without the hassle of off-campus lease hunting. Farrington tends to be social without being loud — apartment walls provide much better sound insulation than dorm halls, and having your own kitchen makes meal planning flexible. Many student groups and clubs cluster here simply because apartments are great for hosting small gatherings.
