South Hall is one of the largest residence halls on campus, with capacity for approximately 240 students across three floors and four wings each, including an all-female wing. Located directly across the street from the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies and a short walk from the Oberlin Conservatory, South has an unusually rich set of in-hall amenities: the largest lounge on campus (with TV, study areas, and a piano), two large kitchen/lounges on the second floor, and a basement with a dance studio, a fitness gym, and several music practice rooms.
