Talcott Hall is one of Oberlin's original and most historic women's residence halls, now open to students of all genders. Located on North Professor Street near the Conservatory and main academic buildings, Talcott houses approximately 190–200 students in a classic corridor-style layout across multiple floors. Rooms are primarily singles and doubles arranged along hallways, with communal all-gender bathrooms per floor. The building retains much of its historic character — high ceilings, large windows, and close proximity to the heart of campus make it a popular choice for first-year students. No central air conditioning; Oberlin's summer heat can make the early weeks of fall semester warm, though the academic year's peak intensity arrives in spring.
