High Rise is Trinity's tallest residential building, a mid-century tower that offers something relatively rare at Trinity: central air conditioning. Built in 1963, High Rise houses students in corridor-style rooms on multiple floors, with communal all-gender bathrooms per floor. The building's height gives upper-floor rooms panoramic views over the Trinity campus, the Hartford skyline, and the Connecticut River valley — one of the most distinctive views on campus. The AC and views make High Rise a popular choice for students who prefer climate-controlled living. The building is located at the edge of the main residential area, with in-building laundry and floor common rooms.
