About Bancroft Hall — 7th Battalion

The 7th Battalion wing of Bancroft Hall houses midshipmen in one of the eight battalions of the United States Naval Academy. Bancroft Hall's storied traditions include the Herndon Monument climb (a Plebe rite of passage), Memorial Hall with its inscriptions of fallen Academy graduates, and the Rotunda with Tiffany stained glass windows. The 7th Battalion wing is part of this historic residential tradition.
