Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC) is one of UCSD's eight residential colleges, organized around a global studies curriculum — all ERC students take a two-year Making of the Modern World sequence. Named for Eleanor Roosevelt, the college's residential halls offer apartment-style and suite-style living on the east side of campus near the Marshall campus buildings. ERC has a reputation for being one of the most academically focused and intellectually engaged colleges, attracting students interested in international affairs, history, and social policy.
