Tenaya Hall is a first-year residence hall in the John Muir College neighborhood on the west side of UCSD's campus, within walking distance of Black's Beach. The building offers double and triple rooms with shared communal bathrooms. Muir's philosophy emphasizes self-sufficiency and individual choice. Tenaya residents have access to a grassy quad, Pines and Roots dining, Mandeville Center, Rimac Pool, a gymnasium, and adjacent recreation fields.
