About Revelle College — Galathea Hall

Galathea Hall is one of the ship-named residence halls ("The Fleet") at UCSD's Revelle College, named for the Danish research vessel Galathea, which circumnavigated the globe from 1950-1952 exploring deep oceanic trenches — the Galathea Deep in the Philippine Trench is named for it. Traditional corridor-style doubles and triples with communal, gender-designated bathrooms.
