North Quadrangle (North Quad) is the University of Michigan's newest and most technologically advanced residence hall, opened in 2010 as a $175 million mixed-use academic and residential complex on North University Avenue. Fully air-conditioned, North Quad offers suite-style rooms with semi-private bathrooms in a modern, LEED Gold-certified building with integrated academic spaces, a commons dining room, and dedicated classroom and faculty office areas. North Quad is the hub of several living-learning communities including Community of Scholars, Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment (RISE), and Michigan Community Scholars Program (MCSP). One of the most-requested buildings in the Michigan housing lottery.
