About Stockwell Hall

Stockwell Hall is one of University of Michigan's largest traditional residence halls, an eight-story building on North University Avenue on Central Campus. Named for Madelon Stockwell Turner, the first woman admitted to the University of Michigan. Corridor-style double rooms with communal floor bathrooms, no air conditioning. Stockwell houses approximately 600 students and is known for its central location, proximity to the Michigan League, and strong floor communities. Historically a women's hall and now fully co-ed.
