About Spencer Residence Hall

Spencer Residence Hall is one of UNC's North Campus corridor halls, named for Cornelia Phillips Spencer, the influential educator and writer who was the first woman to receive an honorary degree from UNC. Traditional double rooms with communal floor bathrooms, no air conditioning. Spencer is a smaller, historic North Campus hall convenient to the library and the historic original campus quadrangle. Popular with upperclassmen who prefer a quieter, more residential atmosphere.
