Carmichael Residence Hall is a large UNC corridor hall, named for William Donald Carmichael Jr., former UNC Consolidated University Vice President who led the expansion of the residential system. Traditional double rooms with communal floor bathrooms, no air conditioning. Carmichael sits in a transitional location between South Campus and Central Campus, convenient to both the dining commons and the main academic quad. Houses a mix of first-year and upperclass students.
