Chester Hall is a three-floor co-educational suite-style residence housing second-, third-, and fourth-year students. One of Washington College's three "River Dorms" (alongside Corsica and Sassafras halls), Chester contains 44 singles and 27 doubles organized into two suite configurations: Type 1 suites have two singles and one double, while Type 2 ("Jack and Jill") suites pair two doubles with shared bathroom facilities. Each suite includes its own bathroom with a toilet, shower, and two sinks; suites can be gender-designated or gender-inclusive per residents' decision. Chester is fully accessible with an elevator. Each floor has a public lounge with television and a full kitchen. Single rooms measure 8 × 14 feet and doubles range from 10 × 18 to 13 × 17 feet. Laundry is included in the room rate, and heating and air conditioning are controlled by in-room units linked to a central system.
