Middle Hall is one of three historic residence halls that make up the Hill Dorms (alongside East and West Halls), situated directly on Carter Walk across from the dining hall at the center of Washington College's campus. The building houses 18 rooms — 8 singles and 10 doubles — in a traditional corridor layout with gender-inclusive community bathrooms on all residential floors and a half bath in the basement. Due to the age of the Hills complex, room dimensions vary considerably and floor plans are not standardized. Two basement lounges provide recreational space and a kitchen for community gatherings, and laundry is available in the basement at no additional cost. Heating is via radiators; window air conditioning units can be installed. Middle Hall does not have an elevator and is not accessible. The building's central location and small size create an unusually close-knit residential community.
