About North Hall

Built in 1823, North Hall was briefly known as "Middle College" between 1827 and 1857. It was renovated in 2004. [First-Year Quad West] Built in 1823, North Hall is the mirror image of South Hall and sits directly opposite it on the west side of the First-Year Quad. Also renovated in 2004, it shares South Hall's historic character and charm while offering the same updated interior. Together, South and North form the architectural heart of Amherst's oldest residential quad.
