Avocet Hall is one of eight first-year traditional corridor-style residence halls at CSU Monterey Bay, named after the elegant American Avocet shorebird common to the California coast. The three-story hall offers standard double rooms with in-suite shared bathrooms for incoming students. The campus's temperate coastal climate means no air conditioning is needed or provided.
