About C.N. Yang Hall

C.N. Yang Hall is part of the Nobel Halls complex — a LEED Gold certified pair of buildings (Yang + Lauterbur) opened in 2010 and named after Nobel laureates who were Stony Brook faculty. Yang Hall is administratively part of the Eleanor Roosevelt Community (Global Studies) while its twin, Lauterbur Hall, is part of Kelly Community. The complex houses 604 students in 104 suites of 6 (three double bedrooms sharing a living room and one bathroom). Unlike the older quads, Nobel Halls feature air conditioning, bold-colored modern architecture, and a bus stop directly in front. Simons STEM Scholars and Honors College students live in Yang Hall.
