Tubman Hall, opened in Fall 2017 alongside Chávez Hall, is part of the $124 million Chávez-Tubman Community and is among the most sought-after housing on campus. Reserved for juniors and seniors (minimum 57 credits), it offers 4–5 single bedrooms per suite with AC and separate bathroom fixtures for significantly more privacy than traditional dorm setups. Rooms are approximately 110 square feet. East Side Dining — Stony Brook's largest dining facility with 68,000 square feet, 10 mini-restaurants, and 12 kitchens — is directly below the building. The community includes study lounges and a fitness center shared with Chávez Hall.
