Crum Ledge is Swarthmore's newest residential option, a small cottage-style apartment community that opened in Fall 2025. The building contains 8 apartment units overlooking the Crum Woods — Swarthmore's 357-acre old-growth woodland preserve — providing arguably the most scenic residential setting on campus. Each unit is fully furnished with a private kitchen, private bathroom, and central air conditioning. The intentional size of the community (8 units, approximately 16–24 students depending on configuration) makes Crum Ledge one of Swarthmore's most intimate and sought-after residential options. Its woodland setting creates a natural, secluded feel while remaining a short walk from the main campus academic buildings and Sharples Dining Hall. A popular target in the upperclass room draw.
