Palmer Hall is one of three adjacent corridor dorms — along with Pittenger and Roberts — clustered south of the railroad station near the college's south entrance. It is an upperclass hall known for its many single rooms and spacious hallways, giving it a quieter feel than more centrally located buildings. RAs put effort into fostering hall life, and the proximity to the PPR Apartments courtyard (opened 2017) adds outdoor gathering space to an otherwise residential stretch. The walk to Sharples and academic buildings is the main trade-off students weigh, though many find the relative quiet worth it.
