Roberts Hall is the most spacious of the south-campus PPR cluster, offering larger rooms than Palmer and Pittenger and a layout that gives many rooms a mud room-style entryway and a bathroom shared with only one or two adjacent rooms — an arrangement that functions similarly to semi-private despite the corridor classification. Students who have lived there routinely describe the rooms as beautiful and the dorm culture as one of Swarthmore's warmest. The main trade-off is the distance from the academic core and dining hall, which the college addresses with the shared PPR Apartments courtyard and strong hall programming.
