Stern Hall is one of UC Berkeley's smaller and more distinctive residence halls, a co-ed corridor building perched on the northeast hillside of campus. Traditional double rooms with communal floor bathrooms, no air conditioning. Stern's hillside location provides stunning bay views and direct access to the Strawberry Creek greenbelt trails. The hall is known for its close-knit community and diverse international student population. Stern is quieter and more intimate than the large south-campus units, making it popular with students who prefer a smaller residential community.
