Horton Residence Hall is one of UNC's newer South Campus suite-style halls, opened in 2002 with four floors and 276 students in four-person suites with semi-private bathrooms and air conditioning. Interior corridor access connects suite doors. Located on South Campus near the main dining commons and athletic facilities. Horton is part of the 2002 South Campus expansion (along with Hardin and Koury) that brought modern AC-equipped suite housing to UNC's first-year community.
