West Hall is one of three Hill Dorms (alongside Middle and East Halls) located on Carter Walk between the library and dining hall, and home to the Upper-class Science House — a STEM-focused Living-Learning Community for second-, third-, and fourth-year students in science and math majors. The community features a faculty advisor, a resident advisor in a science major, and a recently renovated basement with a full kitchen and a study area equipped with a projector and dry-erase boards. West Hall contains 16 singles and 1 double, housing approximately 18 students. Gender-inclusive community bathrooms serve each residential floor plus a half bath in the basement. Rooms vary in size due to the building's age. Heating is via radiators with removable window AC units. West Hall does not have an elevator and is not accessible. The building's small size and academic community focus produce a close-knit residential experience.
