Cypress Hall is a traditional corridor-style first-year residence hall at CSU Monterey Bay, named after the iconic Monterey cypress trees native to the California coast. The three-story hall provides standard double occupancy rooms with in-suite shared bathrooms. Without air conditioning (standard for all CSUMB first-year halls), Cypress relies on the campus's mild coastal breezes for natural ventilation.
