About Lovett College

Lovett College is the seventh Rice residential college, founded in 1968 and named for Edgar Odell Lovett, Rice's first president. Lovett has a reputation as one of the more eccentric and creative colleges in the Rice system, known for its artistic traditions and unconventional community events. Suite-style housing with semi-private bathrooms and air conditioning. Lovett is located on the south side of campus, somewhat removed from the original six colleges, which contributes to its distinct identity.
