About Whitman Hall
Whitman Hall is a suite-style residence hall in Roth Quad, affiliated with the Undergraduate College of Science and Society. Like all Roth buildings, suites have air conditioning, which significantly distinguishes this quad from most other first-year housing options. Six-person suites include three double bedrooms sharing one bathroom. The quad borders Roth Pond and hosts the annual Roth Pond Regatta, one of Stony Brook's most beloved spring traditions. The Center for Science and Society, opened in 2008, anchors the community.
