Wolverine Village is the University of Michigan's newest and largest residential community, opening in Fall 2026 on Central Campus. Phase 1 encompasses five residence halls — Buildings 1 through 4 and the Dr. E. Royster Harper Hall — and will house approximately 2,300 first-year and returning students. Located at 355 E Hoover Ave, the complex is a 15-minute walk to the Diag and 8 minutes from Michigan Stadium. Wolverine Village is designed as a mixed-gender, sustainability-focused community with an 800+ seat dining hall featuring an all-electric culinary suite, a living green wall, and a teaching kitchen developed in partnership with LSA. Each residence hall includes front desk service, a laundry facility, a community kitchen, a computer learning center, and group study areas. Room types include singles and doubles with communal bathrooms and semi-suites shared by four residents with private bathroom space. Community spaces include multicultural lounges (Grace Lee Boggs Multicultural Lounge, Minobimaadiziwin Multicultural Lounge, and others) and a vibrant central courtyard. Living-learning communities include Bridge Scholars Plus and the Michigan Sustainability Community.
