About Alice Lloyd Hall

Alice Lloyd Hall is one of University of Michigan's most storied and selective residence halls, traditionally a women's hall and now co-ed, featuring the Pilot Program — Michigan's first and most competitive residential honors program. Named for Alice Crocker Lloyd, Dean of Women (1930–1950). Traditional corridor-style rooms with communal bathrooms, no air conditioning. Admission to Alice Lloyd typically requires a separate application for the Pilot Program, which emphasizes intellectual community, mentorship, and academic challenge. One of Michigan's most academically engaged residential communities.
