Palm Apartments is UT's largest housing complex at over 263,000 square feet across 7 floors, housing approximately 660 upper-class students. Built in three phases (2015, 2017, 2018) at a total cost of approximately $55 million, Palm Apartments is LEED Silver certified and features energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting, and water-conserving fixtures throughout. Each apartment-style unit has four single bedrooms surrounding a shared living area, one shared bathroom, and a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove. Residents in Palm Apartments may choose the reduced 7-meal/week Apartment Plan, but many cook for themselves. Laundry facilities are in-building and free. Palm Apartments replaced the former ResCom residence hall and is one of UT's most popular upper-class housing choices for its apartment independence and modern build.
