200 Church Street is a community-focused residence hall at Wesleyan University established by students who wanted to build a safe, self-affirming, and close-knit space centered on social justice, community bonding, and diversity. The building is both a living space and an organizing hub — residents host discussions, film screenings, guest speakers, and community service events. In the first semester, residents focus on building an inclusive internal community; in the second, they deepen connections with the broader Wesleyan community. 200 Church boasts two lounges, a community kitchen, a laundry facility, and a pool table. A 3-story walk-up with no elevator and no air conditioning. Open to both first-year and upperclass students.
